University of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences, San Antonio
Originally, the name of the school Magic Valley Beauty College, Inc was established in 1955 in San Juan, Texas. In 1976, Magic Valley Beauty College Inc. was purchased by the Shearer family. In 1984, the name was changed to University of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences (UCAS) and was moved to Mc Allen, Texas in an effort to better serve the community. In 1988, the institution added another location in Harlingen, Texas to accommodate the students in the Cameron County area. On October 14, 2000, the Shearer family purchased two locations in the San Antonio, Texas area. At our institution, our primary purpose is to better prepare students to become successful members of the cosmetology profession. Our programs and courses are as diverse as the interests of our students and our instructors are always ready to help, guide and motivate.
